Wanton, Seng’s Noodle Bar

Akiko is off to London soon for another work trip answer since we haven’t had a chance to hang out since our trip to Siem Reap, I really wanted to meet her for dinner. She suggested a restaurant called Wanton on Amoy Street.

However I was late because of a work meeting that ran super late. So she started without me.

Her drink was actually quite tasty. The food wasn’t bad either.  The way it works is that each person orders a bowl of noodles. And then you order the ala carte items that can be shared.  We basically ordered all the stuff with flags next to it as those were the recommended stuff.  I don’t really eat vegetables but the kailan looked pretty good. I had the pork knuckles. The scotch eggs were a nice touch.

Normally a bowl of wanton noodles will probably cost about $3.50 each but bearing in mind that this is a bar in the business district and we did order 3 different dishes, the final tally of $65 including one alcoholic drink really isn’t terrible. Plus the noodles were nice and springy. Which is a definite plus.
