Pizza with a twist

So, one of the more famous fast food stores in Milan is Luini’s. If your timing is off, the line to get yourself one of their famous panzerottis is long. Very long. And if you are hungry, that wait can seem like forever. Or, if you are there during one of their off peak hours (hint: around 11ish), its a quick walk up to the counter, a bit of pointing and gesticulating and voila! Panzerotti for you!

When I asked my friend what it was, she was pretty vague about it. The closest thing to a description I got was that it is pizza, that is rolled up. So kind of like Singapore’s curry puff. Without the curry. Its basically pastry that has been folded onto itself, and fried, with the ingredients inside. I can’t remember what flavor I got mine it (i think it was savory) but it was quite delicious. And filling. Managed to survive on it for about 2+ hours until we found a place for lunch!
