I saw this cartoon of Toulouse Lautrec sitting in front of the Moulin Rouge painting. I loved it and simply had to take a photo. I saw it at the comic museum in Bruxelles, which by the way, is housed in a gorgeous example of a Noveau Art building. It used to be a warehouse, which was later abandoned and it took a heroic effort by the artists to bring it back to life. A piece of art housing art. What a gorgeous idea.
But the point is, they brought it back to life.
What a wondrous way of documenting how a building was forgotten only to be brought back to life again. Even in the comic book renderings, you can see the art nouveau details of the building.
